Israeli Arrests Netanyahu Assassination Plot

An Israeli citizen has been arrested on charges of plotting to assassinate Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. This information was reported by the Qatar-based news outlet BBC on Thursday (September 19), citing Israeli security forces.

It has been revealed that the accused individual, having fallen into Iran's tactics, received funds from Tehran to carry out the killings of Netanyahu and other top officials. Israeli police and local intelligence agencies have stated that the arrested individual was involved in smuggling activities. However, the identity of the accused has not been disclosed. It has been mentioned that he is a businessman and resided in Turkey, from where he traveled to Iran. According to a Reuters report, the individual had planned to assassinate Prime Minister Netanyahu, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, and the head of the domestic intelligence agency Shin Bet.

Shin Bet has claimed that the assassination plot was orchestrated using an Israeli businessman who has been living in Turkey for a long time. It is reported that the accused was promised $1 million to carry out this operation. However, it remains unclear whether the businessman made any significant progress in the plan. Shin Bet asserts that Iran may continue to attempt to implement such activities. This means that there is no room for thinking that the assassination threat has ended after this plan was exposed.
